Robert R. Simpson, Jr., MBA, CPA
Appointed President of West Virginia Roundtable at its January 9, 2019, annual meeting, Robert R. Simpson, Jr. also is the Director of the BB&T Center for Leadership within the Lewis College of Business at Marshall University. After completing a public accounting career spanning more than 40 years, he joined the full-time faculty at Marshall in 2011. He also served a year as Interim Dean of the Lewis College of Business.
Bob received a B.A. in accounting at Miami University in 1969, and an MBA from The Ohio State University in 1970. He was a Who’s Who in West Virginia Business recipient in 1997, and has received several awards from the West Virginia Society of CPAs including the Distinguished Service Award (2006), Life Membership Award (2008) and Outstanding Accounting Educator (2012).
Bob is a former Chairman of the Roundtable, having served from 2006-2008.
