Robert R. Simpson, Jr., Appointed President of West Virginia Roundtable

– Robert R. Simpson, Jr. has been appointed President of the West Virginia Roundtable, an independent, nonprofit, and non-partisan business organization dedicated to creating a robust business climate in the Mountain State.
“I am honored to serve as President of the West Virginia Roundtable and pledge my best efforts to the accomplishment of its mission,” Simpson said. “In the immediate future we will be focusing on the substantial potential of the proposed Appalachian Storage Hub to positively impact the economy for the benefit of all West Virginians.”
Simpson also is the Director of the BB&T Center for Leadership within the Lewis College of Business at Marshall University. After completing a public accounting career spanning more than 40 years, he joined the full-time faculty at Marshall in the Accountancy and Legal Environment Division in 2011, teaching primarily tax courses and the accounting capstone course. After teaching for five years, he served a year as Interim Dean of the Lewis College of Business.
Simpson is a former chairman of the Roundtable, having served from 2006-2008.
